The SewCraftSwimGals got together this week to make some cute projects. We also stopped in at Dollar Tree – these gals are so much fun!! Take a look at their projects below.

Fabric Pocket Tshirt.

Supplies Needed:

~Tshirt (we got ours at Walmart)

~Fabric to match Tshirt

~Pocket Template – we used this one found on Pinterest

~Basic sewing supplies

HOW TO:

Brinsley focuses on cutting her template out nice and straight.

Zayda cuts her pocket template folding guide.

Brinsley and Cora having fun while cutting templates.

Place template on fabric and pin then cut out.

Alexa removes pins from fabric and irons her edges using the folding part of the template.

Next sew down all the edges.

Then pin pocket to tshirt in the desired spot and sew.

Aren’t they cute!!!!

Fabric Covered Button Barrettes

Supplies Needed:

Choice of fabric. We used the fabric from our pockets.

Cover Button Kit. Walmart

Silver Hair Clips Hobby Lobby

Glue Gun or E6000 Glue

HOW TO:

Cut out circle template from the back of the button cover kit.

Fold fabric scrap in half and place the template on the fold and cut out.

You will then have your circle.

Follow the directions on the button cover package to assemble your fabric button. These are so fun and super easy to make!

Hot glue or use E6000 to attach your button to the hair clip. Note: the button will have a shank – so I just bent it over a bit and flattened it so the hair clip would sit flat against the button when gluing.
